McNab’s Corn Maze & Produce Farm is a family run 7 acre corn maze with hayrides, pumpkin patches, farm animals and fresh local produce in Ladysmith, BC. RTOWN came on board to manage their social media for their 2015 fall season and helped them increase their brand awareness and online engagement while reaching their target demographic.

“I believe I first stumbled across RTOWN through LinkedIN and reached out to Cristina Ostapovitch to inquire about their social media services. I had been mulling over in my mind the merits of using social media to promote my small business, but had no idea where to start.
After numerous emails, this “Old Geezer” was still a bit skeptical about parting with any of my hard earned money, on a venture that many people had me to believe, I could do myself. Christina finally ended one of her emails with the following statement, “I encourage you to give this a try. I know you will love what we can do and will want to hire us back every year”. She was correct, but there was still one more moment when I wondered if I had been “had”. I then got an email from Natalie Aybars of RTOWN, and the first line read, “My name is Natalie and I will be your designated Community Manager here at RTOWN. I am really excited to get you started with us!”

Still being a bit twitchy, I thought, “Here we go”. I quickly realized that I was wrong to have these doubts. Natalie turned out to be a real gem. She was a delight to talk to on the phone and always explained what she was doing and what input that she would like from me’ to help with this social media marketing campaign.  

With her gentle prodding, I shared my family history behind the farm, any noteworthy content and my goals for the season. Natalie then tailored and posted material, cranked some handles and pushed some buttons, which resulted in our best year ever at MCNABS CORN MAZE & Produce Farm.   I am very happy to say that this “Old Skeptic” was nicely surprised and will most certainly be using RTOWN and I hope Natalie for future promotions.
